LEI @ Widener Law Center takes a variety of approaches to provide students and alumni with the essential tools to find a job. We believe the foundation of this process is a solid, broad-based, ABA-approved curriculum. Whether you are a bachelor, associate, or certificate student, LEI @ Widener Law Center program teaches legal theory through the application of practical skills you will be expected to have before entering the legal field.
The second tool LEI @ Widener Law Center offers students and alumni is a joint effort between the
Career Development Office (CDO) and LEI @ Widener Law Center staff. This comes in the form of mock interview programs, career development workshops, facilities and resources for resume production, regional listings of job postings in our job bank, and opportunities to network with individuals already working in the legal field and potential employers.
The third tool in LEI @ Widener Law Center career development arsenal is personal, one-on-one counseling by LEI and CDO staff. The Institute prides itself on providing personalized service to all students; the career development process is no exception. Students can take advantage of private resume and cover letter assistance, email notification of hot job openings, and assistance in locating appropriate
internship opportunities.
