A Certificate of Completion in Paralegal Studies with a Concentration in Intellectual Property consists of eight (8) specialized courses that will allow students to gain an understanding of the basic principles of Trademarks and Copyrights, Patents and Trade secrets and Intellectual Property Transactions. Practical skill building for this course consists of selecting and searching for trademarks, how to obtain a copyright registration, patent application processes, and due diligence with transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
This concentration affords students the opportunity to gain foundation and knowledge that would allow them to assist attorneys in this exciting and growing area of the law.
