Health Law Concentration
Students enrolled in this concentration in health law obtain specialized training in a variety of medical related specialties such as litigation, bioethics, toxic torts, elder law and forensic science. Adjunct faculty include experienced attorneys from major health law firms and government offices. This concentration affords students diverse opportunities in health care law including governmental agencies, corporations, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and health care systems. Students are encouraged to participate in an internship prior to graduation which offers placement , training and skills in a health law related field. Working with an attorney, students gain experience reviewing Medicare/Medicaid fraud, social secuirity disability, elder law and forensic science issues. Graduates have specialized in fields such as risk management, managed care, contract negotiation, medical record review, interviewing and investigation, and trial preparation.

This concentration is available to both paralegal students and legal nurse consultant students.
