Widener Law’s Summer Abroad programs offer an exciting opportunity to study the law while experiencing wondrous new locales and learning about other cultures. The Nairobi, Kenya program, which began in 1988, in particular provides a chance to see a whole different world.

Five photographs taken by Harrisburg Dean of Students Keith Sealing during the 2011 Summer Abroad program in Kenya have been included in a university-wide juried student, faculty, and staff photography exhibition at the Widener Art Gallery on the main campus in Chester, PA. The photographs include two pictures of lions, one of a cheetah and one of a leopard taken while on safari in the Masai Mara area of southwest Kenya, as well as one picture of a baboon taken at Diani Beach of the Indian Ocean coast.

The pictures offer a window into some of the exceptional opportunities open to those who enroll in one of Widener Law’s Summer Institutes. Applications for Widener Law’s 2013 Summer Abroad Programs in Nairobi, Venice, or Lausanne, Switzerland are currently available. The application deadline is April 29, 2013.

Dean Sealing’s photos are on display at The Widener Art Gallery, which is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and is located on Widener’s Chester Campus on 14th Street between Walnut Street and Melrose Avenue. The show runs through March 2, 2013.
