Harrisburg SBA Concludes Successful Drive to Benefit Soldiers Stationed Overseas

TroopsLoveLargeStudents on the Harrisburg campus sent over 12 boxes of supplies to soldiers overseas after holding a three-week donation drive. Items collected included beef jerky, baby wipes, candy, magazines, ramen noodles, stationary, toothbrushes, cereal, tuna, and multi-vitamins among many other things. Students were also able to sign cards in the Pit that were mailed over to the soldiers along with the supplies.

The Student Bar Association (SBA) held their first drive for the soldiers in September but decided to hold a second drive in February after receiving a letter from one of the soldiers who benefited from the drive. He expressed his gratitude and explained that many soldiers do not receive packages because their families cannot afford it. He said that it definitely boosted morale when the mail truck with packages for everyone arrived.
