Widener celebrated Thanksgiving in March for the second year in a row. Thanksgiving Day for Donors took place on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 on both the Harrisburg and Delaware campuses. The event provided the Widener Law community an opportunity to thank both law school donors and volunteers.

Thanksgiving was an all-day event, stretching between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. On the Harrisburg campus, fun facts were posted throughout the campus and the Thanksgiving table was stationed in the Pit. The Side Bar Café even got into the Thanksgiving spirit by offering a turkey-themed lunch.

This year, students had the opportunity to author a thank you note to a donor, sign a poster to express their gratitude, or have their photo taken to show the donors and volunteers how much they appreciate the support.

Ashley Barton, Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Development, said, “Thanksgiving Day for Donors truly gives our students, faculty and staff a way to express their thanks for our donors who give so generously throughout the year. Our donors and volunteers are part of what makes this institution such a great law school!”
