GavelandFlag235pxThe Bar Programs Office is happy to announce the return of the Bar Review Financial Assistance Awards initiative. Each year eligible graduates from both campuses are chosen to receive either complimentary bar review courses or significantly reduced bar course fees from one of our participating commercial bar course providers.

Last year, in conjunction with the Alumni Association, twelve (12) awards were presented to deserving graduating students. Moreover, numerous smaller amounts were awarded through the additional generosity of the providers. All in all, each year we see financial support grow to help defray rising bar study costs our graduates face.

To be considered for an award, interested applicants must complete and submit an application for award. Upon completion of the application, it should be emailed to

The deadline for application submissions is February 4, 2012. Applications received after that date will not be considered.

Awards are available primarily to any graduating Regular Division and Evening Division students planning to take the Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware bar exam(s). However, where assistance is possible by one of the participating providers, other jurisdictions will be considered. The criteria points for the awards are extenuating financial need and the demonstration of exemplary service to the community including the law school.

Applications are available in the Office of Student Affairs and on the Bar Programs’ page.

Participating commercial bar providers include Bar/Bri, KAPLAN/PMBR, Themis and Widener University School of Law.
