Jewish law students plan speaker event

ElzufonJohn235pxThe Jewish Law Students Association on the Delaware campus will host a presentation focused on the Middle East with a local attorney providing context to the long-running conflict there.

John Elzufon, senior litigator and managing director of Elzufon Austin Reardon Tarlov & Mondell, P.A., will speak on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict Thursday, March 29 in the student lounge off Main Street. The program will begin at 4 p.m. and refreshments will be available.

The program is open to the law school community and the student group encourages students, faculty and staff to attend.

Elzufon served as president of the Jewish Federation of Delaware from 2000-2002 and has been chair of the Jewish Community Relations Committee for state of Delaware since 2008.

He practices in the area of complex litigation including corporate/commercial, professional liability defense and products liability defense. He has handled more than 500 complex cases in his career and has litigated nearly 100 of those to jury verdict or bench decision.

A native of Newark, N.Y., he holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He also served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1969 and 1970. That service included a year in the Republic of Vietnam, where he was awarded an achievement Bronze Star.
