On Saturday, September 17, 2011, the Harrisburg Campus held its annual Dean’s Picnic from noon to 4 p.m. The
Student Bar Association and the
Office of the Dean of Students sponsored the event. Students and Faculty were provided with food, beverages, and music.
Relay for Life raised over $300 during the picnic through raffle baskets and 50-50’s, and by providing students the opportunity to give participating professors a pie in the face in return for a donation to Relay for Life. The Student Bar Association also held a raffle for a parking space located in the first row of the parking lot as a fundraiser for Relay for Life.
Additionally, a soccer game played at 2:30 p.m. inaugurated the new soccer field for the first time. The picnic also featured an inflatable obstacle course and face-painting for children.
The winners of the Student Bar Association student representative election were also announced. The 2011-12 student representatives are: 4ED Matt Kaminsky and J. Diane Brannon-Nordtromme; 3RD- Megan Henry and Pete Aziz; 3ED- Tricia Lontz and Kari Panza; 2RD- Ami Patel and Roma Patel; 2ED- Jacqueline Harris; 1RD- Sec. P- Cara Chromiak and Jessica Boyles; 1RD- Sec. N- Anamari Jimenez and Jamilah Espinosa; 1ED- Rebecca Bailey and Ryan Gonder.
Kristin Potter, Student Bar Association Vice President of Social Events, said that the event was a great success.
