The Philadelphia Chapter of the Widener Women's Network gathered for the annual winter luncheon on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. A panel of three women spoke about their experiences of working for a large firm, a medium sized firm, and as a solo practitioner. They shared some of the advantages and disadvantages of working for each. The panelists included Leslee Tabas ’79 who is a solo practitioner, Marie Bermudez Harris ‘07 who spoke on behalf of the large firm, and Miriam Barish who spoke about the experience of working at a small to medium sized firm.
The purpose of the chapter luncheons is for alumnae to join in lively discussions about a number of topics, as well as an opportunity to renew old friendships, make new acquaintances and network in an informal setting. Twenty-two alumnae attended the luncheon. The event was sponsored by Miriam Barish ‘92 at her law firm Anapol Schwartz at their Philadelphia office at 1710 Spruce Street.
