At 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011, a special session of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania was held in the Supreme Court Courtroom of Pennsylvania’s State Capitol building. The purpose of this special session was to admit graduates of Widener University School of Law to the Pennsylvania bar and to congratulate them on their success. The Honorable
Thomas G. Saylor, Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and Widener Law’s Jurist in Residence, welcomed attendees and shared remarks about the legal profession. Dean
Linda L. Ammons also offered congratulatory comments for the attendees during the program.
Following the special remarks, Professor
Ann Fruth ’92 moved for admission to the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania all Widener Law graduates in attendance. After Justice Saylor administered the Attorney Oath to the Widener Law alumni the crowd applauded the newest members of the Pennsylvania bar. Graduates and guests were welcomed to take individual photos with the Justice and Dean post-ceremony.
