The fall networking luncheon for the Widener Women’s Network’s (WWN) Harrisburg Chapter was held on October 28, 2011. The event was generously hosted by the law firm Smigel, Anderson & Sacks, which is located on Front Street in Harrisburg, PA, and was arranged with the help of alumnae who practice law with the organization.
Attendees were warmly welcomed to the event by Vice Dean Robyn Meadows
and Leroy Smigel, a partner at the law firm, who shared his personal reflections on women in the profession. Mr. Smigel then personally introduced the Widener Law alumnae at the firm and shared what each woman contributes to the organization. Jessica Mercy ’07 introduced the topic of discussion, “Women-to-Women.” It was a candid and insightful presentation which covered topics ranging from estate planning and powers of attorney presented by Heather Royer ’95 to prenuptial agreements and the basics of Pennsylvania divorce law discussed by Susan Good ‘04. The presenters shared practical tips on each facet of their specialties.
Widener Law extends its thanks to Smigel, Anderson & Sacks for hosting the WWN Harrisburg Chapter’s fall luncheon and wishes to also extend its appreciation to the Widener women at Smigel, Anderson & Sacks , including Susan Good ’04, Ann Levin ’93, Jessica Mercy ’07, and Heather Royer ’95, for sharing their time and supporting the event. The next WWN Harrisburg Chapter luncheon is being planned for spring of 2012. For more information, contact Ashley N.
