Widener University School of Law’s campus in Wilmington, Del. will serve as one of 15 sites nationally that hosts a Legal Writing Institute one-day workshop on Friday, Dec. 3. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in room 203 of Polishook Hall at the Wilmington campus, 4601 Concord Pike.
Registrations are still being accepted for the event, and walk-in attendees are welcome. The workshop is designed to be of interest to lawyers seeking to become adjunct or full-time professors, new law faculty members, adjunct faculty members, experienced faculty members and law librarians. Topics to be covered include the nuts and bolts of course design, grading and commenting on student papers, and teaching techniques for legal research and citations.
The workshop will feature speakers from the tri-state area and across the country.
Cost to participate is $100 for those who pre-register and $125 for walk-in attendees. The fee includes lunch. Attorneys from Delaware or Pennsylvania who attend will also be eligible for 5.5 substantive continuing legal education credits (no ethics).
