Widener Law is seeking attorneys who are willing to volunteer time on Saturday, Oct. 16 to participate in a community service function that benefits emergency first responders.
The event will take place at the Sussex County Government Western Administrative Complex at 22215 S. DuPont Blvd. in Georgetown, Del. Volunteers are needed to prepare wills and other estate-planning documents through a
Wills For Heroes event organized by Widener Law.
Continuing legal education credits are available for those who participate. Attorneys will be needed at 9 a.m. for a two-hour training, then they will help staff appointments that begin at 11 a.m. and run until approximately 4 p.m. Volunteers do not need to be practitioners or experts in the field of estate planning, as experts will be on hand for the training, and to oversee the event and review all documents.
The event is supported by the Sussex County Paramedic Association, Sussex County EMS and the law school.
