As of July 1st, Assistant Dean Eileen Grena-Piretti
will officially become the Executive Director of Law School Institutes, leaving her old post as the Director of the Legal Education Institute
. Her new role will see her coordinate the Institute of Delaware Corporate and Business Law
, the Health Law Institute
, and the Taishoff Advocacy, Technology and Public Service Institute
Looking forward to the opportunity to work with the “wonderful directors who are currently running the institutes,” Assistant Dean Grena-Piretti stresses that her new role will require blending her experience as an administrator with the experience of the institute directors to strengthen and promote the wonderful educational opportunities offered by the institutes. “I want to communicate the value of the institutes to the students and the community,” she declares.
Dean Grena-Piretti also hopes to raise enrollment in the institutes and draw more attention to some of their programs, such as the Master of Jurisprudence in Corporate and Business Law offered by the Institute of Delaware Corporate & Business Law. “As a nurse and an attorney, I certainly want to see the Health Law Institute continue to grow,” she states, adding that she hopes that the program will continue to draw national recognition as it has in the past.
Describing her own role, she says, “It is my job to assist in the growth and development of the institutes.” Ultimately, she hopes that under her watch the institutes “continue to provide prestigious instruction in order to prepare students for successful careers in their chosen field of study.”
