Former Philadelphia Mayor John Street will visit the Delaware campus on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 4:30 p.m. in the student lounge of the Main Law Building. His talk will be about leadership.

Street’s visit is the first in an occasional series inviting leaders from Philadelphia and Wilmington to meet with students, faculty and the Widener Law community to discuss issues of current interest and public importance. The series builds on the success of the “Pizza and Politics” events that were held on campus during the weeks leading up the presidential election in the fall semester.

Street was the 97th mayor of the city of Philadelphia and served two terms, beginning in January 2000. His mayoral service was preceded by 19 years of service on the Philadelphia City Council.  Since leaving public office he has taught as an adjunct faculty member at the Temple University Department of Political Science.

The event is sponsored by the Widener Law Student Bar Association.
