Widener Law hosts program that reflects on election results
Public Relations
- Published: October 30, 2008
Widener University School of Law will host a forum that reflects on the national election results on
Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 4:30 p.m. on its Delaware campus. The program “Election 2008: The Aftermath” is open to the public.
The forum will feature remarks from
Professor Robert Justin Lipkin,
a constitutional law scholar and political enthusiast, and Widener University Professor Richard Cooper, a sociology expert. Cooper hosts a show on Philadelphia radio station 900 AM WURD.
“This event is intended as an opportunity for us to pause and reflect on what is next for our country,” said Associate
Professor Nathaniel C. Nichols
, an organizer. “No matter who wins the presidency it will represent a changing of the guard at our nation’s front door. I look forward to a lively discussion and hearing what these professors, and our students, think about what happened.”
The event is presented by the
Delaware Journal of Law, Economics & Race
and will be held in room 126 of the Main Law Building.
