It’s class as usual for Sen. Biden
Public Relations
- Published: September 6, 2008
U.S. Senator and Vice Presidential candidate
Joe Biden
took time out of his busy campaign schedule to teach his Saturday morning seminar “Selected Topics in Constitutional Law” on the Delaware campus Saturday.
“It says a lot about his love of the constitution, affection for teaching and commitment to Widener students that he led today’s class,” said Law Dean Linda L. Ammons.
Biden has taught a Saturday morning class on constitutional law every fall and spring semester for Widener since 1991, and has co-taught the class for about six years with Professor
Robert L. Hayman Jr. Hayman
also attended Saturday’s seminar.
U.S. Sen. Barack Obama selected Biden Aug. 23 to run with him on the Democratic ticket in the race for the White House. That was the same day the Widener seminar got underway for the fall semester. This Saturday marked Biden’s first appearance in class since the school year got underway.
