Law School and WDEL announce plans for debates

The law school will host two debates this month in important Delaware Democratic primary races. The debates are presented by 1150 AM WDEL.
They will be held in the Ruby R. Vale Moot Courtroom and will be broadcast live on 1150 AM and over
WDEL.com
. The debates are open to the public and interested students, staff and faculty who would like to get a close-up view of the candidates are encouraged to attend.
On schedule:
Friday, Aug. 22
features the New Castle County executive race Democratic primary with candidates
Chris Coons
(the incumbent) vs.
Tom Gordon
(former county executive).
Wednesday, Aug. 27
features the Delaware governor race with Democratic primary candidates
John Carney
(the current lieutenant governor) vs.
Jack Markell
(the current state treasurer).
Both debates begin at 8 a.m. and run until 9:30 a.m. Questions will be posed by a panel of journalists.
