The home of Dean Linda Ammons was the site of a Minority Alumni and Student Networking Social on the evening of August 22, 2007. More than 80 students and alumni attended, including several members of the judiciary, and they were joined by a number of faculty and staff. The highlight of the evening was the raffle of two door prizes, beautiful oil paintings by a Kenyan artist, donated by Professor Nathaniel Nichols. Winners of the paintings were Arris Murphy '00 and Rakesh Mehta '04.
