Widener University School of Law's Harrisburg Campus Holds Annual Alumni Reception
Published: April 12, 2007
The bright blues and warm reds of the Susquehanna Art Museum's showcased Cuban art reflected the atmosphere well at this year's Annual Alumni Reception. Many bright new alumni faces filled the gallery along with the welcoming faces of our long-time alumni friends.

The evening of networking took place from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in downtown Harrisburg. Faculty and staff in attendance were delighted to mingle with their past students and hear about their successes at big and small firms, within government, and as part of corporations. Special guests from the community and student leaders from Widener's Harrisburg campus were also present on the evening of April 4, 2007, forming new friendships and business relationships.

Dean Linda L. Ammons shared a Law School update with attendees as they enjoyed rib eye steak bites in gorgonzola butter, skewered balsamic chicken, grilled marinated seasonal vegetables, a smashed potato bar, whole poached salmon filet, and a very popular dessert fondue station. All of the museum's Carlos Luna artwork was on display for guests to enjoy. Alumni also received a sneak peak of Doshi Gallery featured-artist Jo Margolis' exhibit, "Notes from the Tangled Trail," which had not yet been opened to the public.

Mark your calendars now for next year's alumni reception, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Do you have a new venue suggestion for next year's Annual Harrisburg Alumni Reception? Contact Ashley Barton via e-mail at anbarton@widener.edu with your idea.
