Dean Douglas Ray presented an Employee Appreciation Award to Linda Flaharty at the Staff Appreciation Luncheon on April 19th. Linda began her tenure with the law school in 1975 when it was known as The Delaware Law School. Over the years, Linda's responsibilities increased and she assumed her current position as secretary for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.
Many of the students who work with Linda to produce the Journal nominated her for the appreciation award. The students recognized Linda for her support, assistance and dedication. One student nominator noted that "Linda keeps the Law Review Office running smoothly and is a great coordinator." Linda was also nominated by a fellow employee who wrote that "Linda has helped to maintain the high standards of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law for over twenty years, while encouraging students and faculty members in all their endeavors."
While working full-time and raising four children, Linda earned her Bachelor of Science in Office Administration degree in December 1994. Her youngest son, Jonathan, is also a Widener graduate who received his B.S. in Psychology in 2000.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyes traveling with her husband who demonstrates Healthcraft cookware at various home shows. She also sings in her church choir, bicycles, gardens and dotes on her three grandchildren. Congratulations to Linda.
