The Widener Law-Harrisburg Moot Court Honor Society (MCHS) offers practical preparation for professional life as an attorney. MCHS allows members to further develop their oral argument and writing skills learned in the classroom and use those skills to represent a client in a realistic appeal from a trial court. Moot Court Members participate in a number of national competitions with students from other law schools while working closely with professors and alumni to improve advocacy skills.
If interested in participating, eligible students are encouraged to tryout early in the fall semester by submitting a written brief followed by a presentation of oral arguments before the Executive Board of the society. The Board offers membership to those students who display a high level of ability and motivation. Eligible students can also achieve membership by performing exceptionally well in the
