Robert J. Valihura, Jr., Esquire, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and Villanova University, is a former five term member of the Delaware House of Representatives where, among other positions, he served as Chair of the Judiciary Committee, Chair of the Joint Sunset Committee and the Chair of the Housing and Community Affairs Committee.
Since spring 2000, Professor Valihura has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Wilmington Campus of Widener University School of Law where he teaches an LLM Course: Colloquium: Selected Topics on Corporation Law, and Equity and Equitable Remedies. For the last six years, Professor Valihura has been the instructor for the Delaware General Corporation Law portion of the Widener’s Bar Review Program.
A member of the Delaware State Bar and the American Bar Associations since he entered practice in 1987, Professor Valihura is a member of the ABA’s Business Law Section and the Delaware State Bar Association’s Corporation Law and Litigation Sections. Professor Valihura is involved in numerous community and non-profit organizations, including currently serving as Chair of the Community Advisory Council of the Center for Disabilities Studies at the University of Delaware, Chair of Citizens for Responsible Growth in New Castle County, Inc., a community organization devoted to ensuring concepts of smart growth, and as President of the Council of Civic Organizations of Brandywine Hundred, Inc., an umbrella Civic Organization representing over one hundred civic associations in Northern Delaware.
