Mary Ann Robinson is an Assistant Legal Writing Professor at Widener’s Delaware campus. She is also the Director of Bar Preparation and Strategies and served as the Acting Director of the Legal Methods Department during the Spring 2010 semester.
Professor Robinson received a B.A, cum laude, in American Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Editorial Board of the Villanova Law Review.
Professor Robinson practiced with the firm of Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia and Berwyn, Pennsylvania. She was also employed at the American Law Institute/American Bar Association where she was Editor of The Audio Estate Planner® magazine. Before joining the full-time faculty in 2006, she served as an adjunct Legal Methods Professor at Widener.
Along with Professor Alison Kehner, she was the recipient of a 2009 Teaching Grant from the Association of Legal Writing Directors which provided the seed money for their development of a series of video vignettes dealing with professionalism issues. Professor Robinson has been a speaker at numerous regional and national conferences, particularly on the subject of professionalism education. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
