Leslie Johnson is Associate Professor of Law at Widener's Delaware campus. Professor Johnson received a B.S. from Northeastern Illinois University in 1970, an M.A. from Northern Illinois University in 1974, and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1992.
Following graduation from law school, Professor Johnson practiced with the firm of Johnson & Johnson in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, where she worked as a paralegal from 1987-92.
Professor Johnson has served as an adjunct faculty member at Delaware County Community College, the Legal Education Institute at Widener University Law Center and at Widener University School of Law. Professor Johnson joined the faculty at Widener and served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Law from 1995-97, and now serves as Associate Professor of Law.
Professor Johnson is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and teaches in the areas of Property, Wills and Trusts and Trust Planning. She has received the Outstanding Faculty Member Award five times since joining the faculty at Widener. Professor Johnson taught in Widener's Sydney International Institute during the summer of 2001. In the Spring of 2002, she became the Director of Student Life in the Office of Student Affairs, Delaware Campus, where she served until July of 2003.
Professor Johnson has been active in a number of professional and civic organizations, including serving as a political committee person for West Whiteland Township in Chester County and past member of the advisory board for Chester County's Children and Youth Services. Professor Johnson is also interested in fostering student exchange programs; she is a longtime member of the American Field Service Foreign Exchange Organization, and she has hosted students from France and Switzerland.
